The Verdon Gorge (French: Gorges du Verdon) is a river canyon and perfectly suited for a day trip from the chateau. There is no road up the gorge, there is a breathtaking circular “corniche” route around the rim of the gorge, and plenty of opportunities for boat and kayak hire on the lower end of the gorge. The road from Tourrettes to the Verdon Gorge comes with great views. Enjoy!
